Pregnancy + Post Natal
BASI Certified Pregnancy + Post Natal Mat Pilates Teacher

The gift of being both a certified BASI Pilates Teacher for Pregnancy + Beyond, and Menstrual Cycle Coach gives me a unique and powerful perspective on moving mindfully, connecting with your body and developing a deep sense of self-awareness.
I trained to teach Pregnancy + Post Natal Pilates during my first pregnancy in 2026, when after practicing Pilates for years I wanted to deeply understand the safe modifications I needed to make throughout my own pregnancy movement plan. This ignited a passion to support and educate mothers on how to move safely and with clarity during their pregnancy and postnatally.
Every woman’s experience is different, and your lived experience in your own body matters more than anything I or anyone else can say. Every pregnancy is unique by nature and I'm here to support you in this wonderful journey.
How is Pilates during Pregnancy + the Post Natal period different?
During pregnancy + the post natal period it is important to adapt exercises to the bodily changes and the life growing inside of your body. Modifications in pregnancy are made to avoid excessive pressure on the pelvic floor muscles and work with more limited range of motion. Post Natally exercises are designed to aid your recovery and gently reintroduce exercises.
When should you start?
There is a benefit of practicing Pilates before pregnancy to strengthen your core and build flexibility. If you’re used to Pilates you can continue a normal practice and make the pregnancy safe modifications you'll learn with me from approx 16 weeks (single pregnancy) for multiple pregnancy (twins or more) modifications should start from the very first trimester.
If you haven’t practised Pilates regularly before being pregnant it is still safe to practice during this time but I advise working with a trained teacher from 16 weeks.
